Common Questions About Working With Us

What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

Our typical MOQ for industrial steel structure projects is 500 tons. However, we can accommodate smaller orders for specialized or high-technical-requirement structures. For process module steel frames and equipment platforms, we evaluate each project individually based on complexity and technical specifications. Please contact our engineering team to discuss your specific requirements.

What certifications and quality standards do you hold?

MEICHEN STEEL STRUCTURE holds the following certifications:

  • EN 1090 EXC3 - European standard for steel structure fabrication (Execution Class 3)
  • ISO 9001 - Quality Management System
  • Grade A qualification for steel structure contracting and manufacturing in China

All our products undergo ultrasonic flaw detection, shot blasting to SA2.5 standard, and maintain full traceability documentation. We can provide material test reports (MTR), welding procedure specifications (WPS), and third-party inspection support as required by international EPC projects.

What are your typical lead times for industrial projects?

Lead times vary based on project scale and complexity:

  • Standard industrial structures (1,000-3,000 tons): 8-12 weeks from order confirmation
  • Complex petrochemical modules (3,000-5,000 tons): 12-16 weeks
  • Rush orders: Available with production line prioritization (additional fees may apply)

Our 5 production lines and 70,000 sqm facility enable us to handle multiple large-scale projects simultaneously. We provide detailed production schedules and weekly progress updates throughout the fabrication process.

Can you handle international shipping and logistics?

Yes, we have extensive experience with international project logistics. Our services include:

  • FOB, CIF, and DDP delivery terms available
  • Specialized packaging for heavy industrial components
  • Container optimization and breakbulk cargo handling
  • Export documentation and customs clearance support
  • Coordination with freight forwarders and shipping lines

We regularly ship to the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Central Asia, and Europe. Our team can recommend the most cost-effective shipping solutions based on your project location and timeline.

Do you offer design and engineering support?

  • Design review and optimization - We can review your structural drawings and suggest fabrication-friendly modifications
  • Shop drawing preparation - Detailed fabrication drawings based on your design specifications
  • Material selection guidance - Recommendations for steel grades and specifications suitable for your project environment
  • Welding procedure development - WPS/PQR preparation for critical connections

Our team of 180+ technical professionals includes structural engineers, welding engineers, and quality control specialists. We work closely with EPC contractors to ensure seamless integration between design and fabrication.

What payment terms do you offer?

Our standard payment terms for international projects are:

  • 30% deposit upon order confirmation
  • 40% progress payment when fabrication reaches 50% completion
  • 25% before shipment upon completion of quality inspection
  • 5% retention released after delivery confirmation

For established EPC contractors and repeat customers, we can discuss more flexible payment arrangements. Letter of Credit (L/C) and bank guarantee options are also available for large-scale projects.
